Getting outside isn’t always as easy as it sounds for most people. With several barriers in place in today’s society, it’s even harder to spend time outside. We know just how precious time spent outside is, which is what sparked the cultivation of Bend Outdoors. It all started because we simply wanted to share our love for backpacking with others. As one of our founders, Clark Stevens, calls it a “Factory Reset”; backpacking is just that. Backpacking allows you to fully disengage with the outside world for days on end, alongside good company. Backpacking breaks down life into its simplest form and forces you to worry about the essentials and putting one foot in front of the other. Upon returning from a backpacking trek, we often find ourselves with immense gratitude for all that we have.

Since the curation on Bend Outdoors, it has spun into an outdoor collective for creatives and outdoor enthusiasts, and we couldn’t be happier. We have had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with so many beautiful faces. Our motive moving forward is to create a safe space and opportunity for anyone looking to get outside. From the basics, to multi-day challenging treks, we aim to cover it all. We also aim to be a hub of all outdoor recreation and provide a social community for people of all interests and levels. We aim to do this through the form of meet-ups, events with local guides and just general hangouts with our community.

For everyone who has been there from the beginning, thank you, thank you, thank you, and to others just finding out about us, welcome. We can’t thank y’all enough for your support for our mission. Seeing y’all’s face light up when we’re out in the wild is what keeps us fired up to keep doing what we’re doing. We’re just getting started and hope you follow along the ride.

Cheers,

Bend Outdoors
